1. Batting tees aren't just for teeball games, or for younger players - although they work great for both. They're also ideal for players who just need to improve their swing.
2. Use a batting tee to perform batting drills with your team, even when there's not a pitcher available. The repetitive motion of a batting drill can improve a player's position and ability faster than you might expect.
3. Batting tees, in order to be safe, should be solidly installed yet flexible. The ideal tee will anchor firmly into the ground but will have some "bend" built into it so that it gives way slightly if hit with the bat, preventing injury.
4. Give your entire roster a hand with a re-positionable batting tee. These tees are adjustable in height (and sometimes angle) so that you can set them up for use by multiple players, each getting the practice he or she needs most regardless of age and ability level.
5. Most batting tees are meant to be temporarily set up, meaning you should be able to put them in place and then move them later. With this in mind, the tee should ideally be lightweight enough for easy carrying, and small enough to pack into a duffel or vehicle... yet durable enough to hold its own against the burliest of hitters.
6. All batting tees are not created equal. Spend some time comparison shopping and make sure to choose a tee that suits your needs - and your budget - without sacrificing quality. You don't want a tee that'll break the first time a player makes contact. Go with a brand you trust and the features you know you need. A manufacturer's warranty is never a bad perk, either!
